Previously, I was talked about the features of Falcon2... Going forward, I will finally start making songs using Falcon2!

Make songs with Falcon 2! -prologue-

So, I'll make one right away! This is also the third installment in the composition series, and I think that there are many people who will gradually understand where I will start to make songs. But this time I decided the direction to some extent and I want to start from the rhythm and bass. However, as it will be long if I explain everything in detail, I will skip here and there a little and proceed.

So, I was listening to the sound sources included in Falcon 2 and expanding the image in my mind, when suddenly I came upon a nice bass sound...I will make full use of this sound as the axis for some club music!

Bass-Sub → Dharma Bass 1.2

Select the above tone for the bass. It's brisk, and I love the digital thorniness of the bass! At any rate, I tried to create it like that, and here is the result ↓

Already Nice

I just love pure driving bass like this, and I will use this rolling bass again this time. However, I don't think you’ll get a picture of how it will fit in the rhythm just by listening to the bass, so I will apply a four-beat kick appropriately.

Good vibes!

I think you’ll have a better image just by adding the kick. To be honest, I like it as it is. But since the kick and bass sounds overlap, I still think the groove feels flat. So, let's add a side chain to the bass, and add some speed to the sound of the bass where the kick comes in.

I haven't added the kicked yet, but I'm already feeling the groove. Now, if you put a kick in here... ↓

Yes, that's cool.

Even with all these phrases, I can loop and bob my head to the beat (* I was actually bobbing!) But let’s not end it here. I want to add more and make it even cooler. So, I will paste an appropriate rhythm loop again.

The groove has gotten even better! The foundation is solid and it’s starting to sound more like a song. Next is the melody... but before that, I would like to tell you what I was imagining while using Falcon 2 this time. Before I started writing this blog, I tampered with Falcon 2 and tried various cool presets (timbres). Each sound has a strong personality that, in itself, can play a leading role. You can easily create your own sound, and you will become more familiar with just playing around with it. I really feel that, as performance software sound source, this is perfect. With this in mind, I personally felt that the "spacey" image was a strong characteristic of the Falcon 2 timbre. This time, I've started to make good use of that image to create songs with a spacey feel to them.

As I was searching for a good melody and timbre to create such a spacey song, I found a good one! Click here ↓

Pluck → Perc Pluck 2.0

(OSC part of EDIT tab, select Default Stereo Uni in template)

Select the tone above. Before adjusting the OSC, the sound was warm, but with a little adjustment, the image of the tone changed dramatically. So I tried to type in this tone as follows.

I hope that makes you feel somewhat spacey! I was fascinated by this clear, vibrant tone. Now, what I'm interested in is what happens when these tones are layered...! So I tried to do the same thing again!

Spacey and Trancy!

So, how was it? This time I started with the foundation, and added a little melody to give it a mellower feel. Next time I plan to make it even spacier, so until then! !! See you ♪
