In PART 1 of this blog, I was looking to the future of video equipment while touching on the latest video equipment and classic masterpieces at Inter BEE 2019. Of course, there are a lot of well-known machines and current equipment that could not be introduced in Part 1! Therefore, here in PART 2, I would like to introduce some more impressive products and booth productions at Inter BEE.

IMAGENICS has an incredible 40-year history as a manufacturer specializing in broadcast and professional video-related equipment. I was left with the strong impression of a dimly lighted booth where you can quickly browse through high-performance equipment, including the popular HVS-41 and US-42 4K-compatible selectors. Of particular interest was the new SL-U62, which will be released in 2020.

The SL-U62 is a seamless matrix switcher that supports 4K multi-signals. HDMI, DVI, analog RGB, analog component, composite video, and S-video signal inputs, scan-converts each signal to a high resolution output. Noiseless switching during effects including cutouts and fades is also attractive! The video output supports HDMI signals and CAT5e / 6 signals, and simultaneous output is possible. All video input terminals have an EDID emulation function. It realizes video archiving with high image quality and high sound quality.

ZOOM had an overwhelming presence even though their booth was compact. My aim was to check out the 4K Handy Video Recorder Q2n-4K. When I picked it up, I was surprised at how compact it was.

With this size, you can record ultra-high resolution video and high-resolution sound quality up to 24bit / 96kHz. It can be streamed on Facebook and YouTube, so it is easy to use for live online events. As per the “4K camera for musicians” tagline, it is recommended for those who are shooting video of band activities and those aiming to produce high quality music travelogues. I want one of these so that I can go back and re-do my British rock trip I wrote about earlier!
So, I’ve now introduced video equipment from Inter BEE twice, but there are still many products that could not be touched on and many manufacturer booths I couldn’t introduce. Next time I would like to report on the entire schedule. At Inter BEE, there’s also a lot of sound equipment, so next time I will introduce the sound side of the show.
