My name is Mickey. Son (house dog) of Masayuki Ichihara from the Sound House Sales Department!
The other day, I introduced the JBL GO2 portable speaker on his blog, and I became popular among female staff members at Sound House. Now I'm an in-house net idol!
In response to the demands (?), I, the clever good looking guy, Mickey the dog, will introduce Dad's favorite piece of equipment!!
The equipment is a guitar effector, the RAVISH SITAR from ELECTRO-HARMONIX.

A pedal that changes the sound of an electric guitar into that of an Indian musical instrument, sitar, or tambura, which puts out a sustained buzzing sound!
I have rarely seen Dad playing guitar because I don't like loud noise.
However, one day he took this pedal out and played guitar with soft sound in front of me.
Thanks to this pedal, even soft sounds are powerful, while calm ambient music can also be played using only a guitar!
A lot of western rock music that Dad likes, so-called raga rock, features Indian instruments. Dad loves this pedal so much that he's written more than 5 RAVISH SITAR blog posts.

It's easy to use. Just stepping on the pedal and playing guitar make a raga sound and it just pops out of the amp at the same time.
Stepping on the footswitch BYPASS on the right, then with the PRESET switch on the left and using the knobs, you can adjust to the sound the way you like. Especially when you turn the SYMPATHETIC knob, you can create a moderate artificial sounds and it's so much fun!
As I was staring at the pedal and got intoxicated with the sound Dad was making, the British dog in me has totally become an Indian dog!

If you read Dad's past posts, you’ll know what songs you can have fun using the RAVISH SITAR, and I, Mickey (house dog), as his son, will be happy too!
I really can't wait for Dad's next day off to hear what raga tune he'll play with the RAVISH SITAR!
