Guitar/Bass Accessories for Bird Lovers

It’s gradually getting colder as November settles in, so how is everyone doing? Previously, I introduced guitar and bass accessories for cat lovers, but this time it’s all about the bird lovers. I’ve always liked blue-and-yellow macaws, but recently I saw a galah at a pet shop, and it was so cute that ever since then, I’ve been watching galah videos whenever I have free time. And now… I’m finally introducing accessories made for bird lovers! Even if you’re not particularly into birds, there are plenty of adorable models that might make your heart flutter, so I encourage you to check them out!

1. ERNIE BALL / 4689 Red Bird Winter Jacquard Strap

First up is perfect for the upcoming season! From ERNIE BALL’s popular Jacquard Strap series comes this model featuring charming red birds woven into the design. The Scandinavian-inspired pattern is absolutely adorable! While I can’t say for sure, after doing some research, I feel that the colors and round shape resemble the common redpoll. Incidentally, it’s a bird that migrates to Japan during the winter.

The key point regarding its usability is that the soft, comfortable fabric helps reduce shoulder strain. The leather ends are firmly stitched, giving it excellent stability! Although it’s a jacquard weave, the texture isn’t too rough, and the smooth buckle adjustment is another nice touch.

2. Paul Reed Smith (PRS) / PRS Premium Leather Strap, Birds Embroidery, Burgundy

Next up is this strap! When it comes to PRS, the brand’s signature bird inlays immediately come to mind. The same bird designs found on their guitar fretboards are embroidered here. Each bird has its own meaning, so if you’re curious, check out the official website (^-^)

The strap material is made of luxurious leather with a smooth and elegant texture. The leather ends are specially cut with pinholes designed to fit PRS guitars perfectly—something PRS users will surely appreciate!

3. LEVY'S / MSSC8U-008

Next up is a very popular strap at Sound House — the LEVY'S “Nature Cotton Series”. This series features soft cotton fabric in gentle colors, beautifully printed with subtle nature-inspired designs! Model 008 is themed around the hummingbird, delicately and intricately depicting the tiny bird as it hovers midair, with wings beating rapidly while sipping nectar from flowers. 4. Limetone Audio / Limetone Pick - irodori

Next, here’s a stylish pick printed with a bird! This one features a black bird—perhaps it’s a crow? Its fashionable design is sure to boost your motivation during practice♪ As for the specs, it uses Ultem material, offering a warm, rich midrange tone. With a thickness of 1.0mm, it produces a slightly thicker sound. User reviews praise it highly, saying things like “It’s easy to control dynamics” and “I didn’t know a pick could change the sound this much.” This is definitely a pick all bird lovers should try out!

5. ALLPARTS / PG-9810-043 Pickguard for Hummingbird Acoustic

Next, although it’s not exactly an accessory, here’s a part available at Sound House that’s worth mentioning! This is the “Hummingbird-style” pickguard for acoustic guitars. (By the way, as seen earlier with the LEVY’S straps, there seem to be quite a few guitar accessories inspired by the hummingbird. Perhaps we have Gibson to thank for that.)
The hand-painted-style design and antique look faithfully reproduce the original! Since the pickguard is an easily visible part for the audience, peeling or scratches in the design can be bothersome. While Sound House does not confirm part compatibility, I recommend consulting a nearby repair shop if you’re considering installation.

How was that? While the number of bird-themed items may not match that of the cat designs, there are plenty of stylish and delicate bird designs to enjoy.
