Versatile Oscillator
The MS-1 MK II-RD's authentic 3340 voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) produces sounds from four different waveforms that can be mixed simultaneously. Options include sawtooth, triangle, square/pwm, and octave-split square sub-oscillator. In addition, the VCO can be adjusted over a wide range of 4 octaves (16', 8', 4', 2').
Versatile VCF
The VCF includes faders for cutoff frequency, resonance, envelope, modulation depth, and keyboard follow. This VCF can be modulated with the ADSR, keyboard tracking, and bender controllers, and the depth can be set with the frequency modulation (FM) Amount knob and further modified with the FM source selector.
Envelope.
The MS-1 MK II-RD's envelope generator features four ADSR (attack, decay, sustain, release) faders to help create incredible sounds. when applied to a VCA, the ADSR envelope is used to control the level of notes played over time. When applied to VCF, the ADSR envelope is used to control the filter cutoff frequency of each note played over time.
Equipped with sequencer & arpeggiator
Up to 32 steps of notes and rests can be programmed and saved as patterns. Up to 64 patterns can be recorded, saved, and recalled, with up to 8 patterns in each of 8 banks. Sequences can be created and saved in keyboard mode, or in step mode, which allows interactive performance while composing patterns.
Performability
The MS-1 MK II-RD can also be used as a shoulder keyboard by simply attaching the included guitar strap and hand grip (with pitch bend wheel and pitch modulation triggers).
Modulator
The noise generator can also be used as a modulation source to create distortion-like effects. The glide (portamento) allows you to seamlessly sweep from one note to the next, creating silky smooth transitions that no other instrument can mimic The MS-1 MK II-RD's vendors are VCO and VCF, Pitch Mod Wheel, and can also be assigned to LFOs, envelopes, and manually modulate pulse waves.
