The Babyface Pro FS is equipped with the latest technology from RME, which continues to evolve day by day.

The SteadyClock technology incorporated into RME interfaces not only enables stable clock synchronization, but also provides accurate DA conversion without fluctuation, making it possible to achieve a clean sound like never before. The latest Babyface Pro FS model is equipped with the next-generation SteadyClock FS, which has been improved to a precision of 1000 trillionths of a second (femtoseconds). This is a level of precision that goes beyond that of high-performance clock generators.

In recent years, when the playback environment for headphones and earphones is given high importance, it has become essential to create a correct monitoring environment on the production side. The Babyface Pro FS is equipped with two headphone outputs, TRS and mini jack terminals, and has independent driver stages that are optimal for high impedance (headphones) and low impedance (in-ear monitors). This allows it to handle all types of headphones and always bring out the best sound. Using the same operational amplifiers as the ADI-2 Pro FS, which boasts the highest specifications of any AD/DA converter, the THD of the output from both terminals has been improved by up to 10 dB. In addition, the 3.5 mm TRS phone output supports up to 90 mW and the output impedance has been reduced from 2 Ω to 0.1 Ω.

In addition, the SN ratio of the AD/DA converters has been improved, and the Babyface Pro FS is a product that represents the culmination of RME's continuing efforts to push the boundaries of audio interfaces, with features such as a physical switch that allows you to change the +19 / +4 dBu reference level on the unit itself, and a K-slot for theft prevention when used on the move.
