  日本国内でも70年代にヒットした名曲「さよならを教えて」でも知られるフランスの女性シンガー、フランソワーズ・アルディが死去したと親族が11日に発表しました。享年80歳。
  1960年代、フランスのミュージック・シーンを席巻していたイエイエスタイルの音楽で、フランス・ギャルやブリジット・バルドー、シルヴィ・ヴァルタンと並ぶ人気歌手として活躍。美麗な容姿からファッション業界や映画業界からの注目も浴びるも、一貫して音楽への道を歩んできたフランソワーズ・アルディだからこそ生み出せた魅力的なナンバーを多数リリース。中にはイギリスのサイケバンド、ニルヴァーナ(カート・コバーンのバンドとは同名の別バンド)の秀逸なカバーも含まれたりと、フレンチ・ポップファンのみならず、ブリティッシュ・ロックファンにも人気の曲も吹き込まれております。
  1968年には代表曲となる「さよならを教えて（Comment te dire adieu）」をリリースし、後年に日本でも大ヒット。竹内まりやをはじめとする多くの邦楽アーティストによるカバーが生まれました。1970年代にはアーシーなシンガー・ソングライター・スタイルのナンバーも多くリリース。1990年代にはイギリスのロックバンド、ブラーが1995年にシングルとしてリリースした「To The End」のフランス語バージョンで、デーモン・アルバーンとデュエットを聴かせたり、セックス・ピストルズのマネージャーだったマルコム・マクラーレンがリリースしたソロ・アルバム『Paris』に収録された「Revenge of the Flowers」で後世に残る歌声を残すなど、多くのアーティストからのリスペクトを証明する活動もしてきました。
  2000年代以降も精力的にアルバムを発表するなど、長年にわたってフレンチ・ポップファンを癒してきたフランソワーズ・アルディが放った、永遠のフレンチ・ポップ・アンセム「さよならを教えて」をお送りして、ご冥福をお祈りいたします。
