The “Okuchiba Fes.” music festival, organized by professional bassist Shin Ichikawa and held in northeastern Chiba Prefecture since 2021, celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. Headlining this milestone event are “Voice Connect,” who caused a sensation immediately after their debut this January, and the internationally acclaimed instrumental band “Route14band”! Immediately after forming, they achieved success providing songs to top artists one after another, their exceptional musical sense continuing to shock the scene. Formed in the summer of 2010 around trumpeter Chihiro Yamazaki, with Satoshi Yamashita on drums, Koji Yamamoto on bass, Hana Takami on keyboard, and Miz on guitar. Their theme is “instrumental pop,” creating a uniquely memorable “singable instrumental sound” that blends diverse genres like jazz, fusion, classical, and rock. Within six months of forming, they embarked on a solo tour of Los Angeles. Their extensive international performances include an 8-city US tour, a Texas tour, the Toronto Jazz Festival in Canada, the Summer Jazz Break Festival in Korea, and the Bay of Islands Blues and Jazz Festival in New Zealand, among others. With over 50 overseas performances to date, each a huge success, they are now one of the most talked-about bands, expected to make waves not just domestically but globally. They are also actively releasing music digitally, having signed distribution deals with Jinurock Entertainment in South Korea, Plaza Mayor Company Ltd in the UK, and HiFive Technology Co. Ltd in China.
