Pearl Drums and KORG have collaborated to create the ultimate fusion of acoustic and electronic drums: the "e/MERGE." To celebrate the release of the "e/Merge 22" BD Kit," which offers a feeling as close as possible to live drums and greater freedom of setting, we invited Shun Ohba, who is very active as a session drummer, to give a demonstration of the appeal of the e/MERGE from a professional's perspective. He will introduce the appeal of the e/MERGE from a professional's point of view with demos and performances.

OBA Shun
Shun Oba was born in Tokyo and graduated from Kunitachi College of Music, majoring in percussion. He studied classical percussion under Shinichi Ueno while in school. In addition, he studied jazz ensemble under Yosuke Yamashita, Atsushi Ikeda, and Ken Kaneko.
In 2012, he participated in the 43rd Yamano Big Band Jazz Contest as a Kunitachi College of Music NewTideJazzOrchestra member and won the "Grand Prize."
In 2015, he won the Grand Prix at the 35th Asakusa Jazz Contest.
In 2020, he will complete "We are the world@Home," a compilation album made by 200 people at home, and "Homes," a compilation album performed by 100 people at home.
