- What is EWI SOLO? -
EWI SOLO is the first model in the EWI series of popular wind synthesizers to feature a built-in speaker. In addition to outputting to external speakers, headphones, and audio interfaces, the EWI SOLO can also play software sound sources via USB-MIDI connection. The built-in battery can run for up to 12 hours, allowing you to perform live, practice, or record anytime, anywhere. EWI has been evolving since the 1980s, and many of you may have heard the melody of the F1 Grand Prix theme song "TRUTH" performed by T-SQUARE or "Treasure Island" the original wind band arrangement. In addition to synth-like sound sources, 200 PCM sound sources are prepared as preset, the largest number in the series, including wind, string, percussion, and ethnic instruments. Effects such as reverb, delay, and chorus, as well as the ability to change the volume and tone depending on the strength of your breath and mouthpiece, are also available. You can select the fingering for flute, oboe, saxophone, EVI (based on the piston technique of brass instruments), as well as recorder-like fingering.
