GRADO, a manufacturer of premium, unique headphones, earphones and cartridges, has released the third generation of its Prestige Series entry-level MI phono cartridges, with a total of six models.

Prestige Series 3 is the third generation of the entry-level series of MI (Moving Iron) phono cartridges, which generate electricity by moving a magnetic metal element mounted on a cantilever. These are handcrafted at their headquarters in Brooklyn using proprietary technology developed for their top-of-the-line Lineage series.

The Silver3, Blue3 and Black3 are the standard models. The select models are the Gold3, Red3, and Green3, which must pass more stringent quality inspections -- the top 15% of the Black3 line become Green3, the top 10% of the Blue3 become Red3, and the top 5% of the Silver3 become Gold3.
