Takanezawa Town, Tochigi Prefecture.
Six years ago, the grand prize winning band for Sound House's local song contest project was born in this town.
The band's name is Nobuo Band.
The winning song was “Sumebamiyako no Takanezawa” (Home is anywhere in Takanezawa).
The bass vocalist of Nobuo Band won the Award of Excellence for his song about the wonderful town, Takanezawa, where he happened to move to after growing tired of his salaryman life in Tokyo.

Nobuo, who serves as vocalist and bass guitarist, has been interviewed by local media, including TV and newspapers, since receiving the award and is now expanding his activities throughout Tochigi Prefecture.
At the end of 2023, Nobuo-san called us to tell us that he was going to hold a contest for light music clubs in Takanezawa Town, Tochigi Prefecture.
Nobuo is currently in charge of Chokkura Hall, a multipurpose hall in Takanezawa Town.
One day, Nobuo-san heard from a high school band practicing here that there was no place for the light music club to play their music, and he thought, "Let's hold a high school band competition here at Chokkura Hall!” So he planned the event.
In order to involve high school light music clubs throughout Tochigi prefecture, he approached high schools with light music clubs and decided to hold the 1st Tochigi Prefecture Light Music Club Band Contest 2024 on July 7, 2024!
Ten bands from seven high schools won the auditions and participated in the finals on this day.
The grand prix winner will also have the right to join FM Tochigi RADIO BERRY!
