In my previous article, I excitedly announced that we finally started offering Vengeance Sound Avenger (If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out below!)↓

Now, to convey just how amazing this software instrument Avenger is, I’ve decided to go all out and create a track entirely using Avenger...!!
So, let’s dive right in and get started!
First, what kind of track should I make? AVENGER is incredibly versatile, and every sound is so cool that it’s hard to decide... After browsing through the preset sounds and the many attractive expansion packs, I thought trance would be a good choice. However, since there are various subgenres within trance, I plan to let the track naturally evolve as I create it, without overthinking it from the beginning. Just to give you a heads-up, I’ll be focusing heavily on the following amazing expansions:
Vengeance Sound / Trance Invasion
Vengeance Sound / Trance Invasion 2
So, let’s start with the rhythm.
To quickly get a feel for the foundation of the track, I created a rhythm loop.
Skipping over some of the steps, here’s what I came up with. By the way, the drum kits I used for the rhythm section, including the kick, are mostly from Avenger. Creating four-on-the-floor beats is fun, and Avenger itself is a blast to work with.
Next, I wanted to add a bassline that fits the vibe. As I browsed through the sounds...
Trance Invasion→BASS→BA Trance Bass 2(arp)
Trance Two→BASS→BA Megatrance Bassline (arp)
There they are—some fantastic basses! And since these come with pre-programmed arpeggios, I can use them as they are without needing to tweak much.
Here’s the result when combined with the rhythm from earlier↓
Yes, that’s awesome.
I could enjoy eating a bowl of rice with this loop on repeat—it's that satisfying.
But I’ll have a meal later; let’s keep going.
With the rhythm and bass foundation in place, it’s time to add some melody.
When it comes to trance, you want powerful leads or saw sounds. However, when I’m usually creating, I often struggle to find the ‘right’ sound or can’t quite create what I envision. But with Avenger, those great sounds are already there.
Trance Invasion→Leads→LD Evil Trance

Nice. Very nice.
I played around with some melodies, and I think I’ll go with this one.
Now, let’s see how it sounds with the rhythm and bass...
The excitement is building.
By the way, when combining the elements, I wanted to add some dynamics, so I applied sidechain compression to create that pulsing effect. Alright, it’s starting to sound like a full track. With the ideas flowing and a solid foundation in place, I decided to add even more elements, including some variations in the arrangement.
Factory→Leads→LD Glorious Club

Trance Invasion 2→Leads→LD Celebration

Factory→Piano & Keys→PN Avenger Piano

Trance Invasion 2→Pads→PD Humanity

With new melodies, a somewhat melancholic piano, and beautiful pads.
The question is how to combine all these elements... Let’s listen to the entire track, including the new developments.
Sounds great.
So, now that things are getting fun, I’ll wrap it up here for today. I’m glad I managed to get the track up to a nice break. Although I’ve had to skip over a lot of details, we’ll continue in the next part. Stay tuned!
