The XS Lav series has two models; the XS Lav USB-C with USB-C connector and the XS Lav Mobile with the TRRS connector. These tiny microphones can be connected directly to mobile devices and PCs, and they do not require an audio interface. Since power is supplied to the microphone from a smartphone or computer, simply connecting directly to the device gives you a high-quality recording environment.

The advantage of the XS Lav series is that it is a lavalier microphone with a clip, so it can be clipped to your shirt collar for hands-free audio delivery. The microphone body is surprisingly light and compact so you can be comfortable while focusing on the task at hand. You can see in the pictures below that it is really compact.

〝Clear and Natural Audio Recording〟

You may be curious to know how the sound quality is. It is actually crystal clear and the range of human voice can be heard in minute detail. The XS Lav series features an omnidirectional microphone, bringing it closer to the sound source and you can record your own voice more naturally without the interference of the surrounding environment. Personally, I think that the XS Lav can clearly capture any vocal range overall, but the mid-high ranges are especially beautiful. If you’re worried about excess breath noises, the XS Lav comes with a foam widescreen so you can record without any excess noise.
