I heard that Takuya Kimura will be turning 50 in 2022. Is this idol who used to sell music based off of his youthful energy really becoming a middle-aged man now? No, it can’t be. 50-year-olds today still look young and things are so different than they were decades ago. This generation who are now entering their 50’s are called the “junior baby boomers”, in other words, these people are the children of baby boomers who were born right after World War II. I believe we will have more of these junior baby boomers in the company in the near future.
The company and I are very proud to have an increasing number of staff members who have been working at Sound House for more than a decade. On the other hand, I cannot help but feel how fast time has flown by when I think back to the days when the average age of employees was 30 years old. Now, the average age has risen to 42 years old, and our rising tide is unstoppable.
All of us at Sound House have to always strive to be open to innovation and change with a youthful spirit so that we can further advance our digitalization and automation by AI. Our employees who will soon be entering their 50’s will also help to keep Sound House young and vibrant. With their experience and open attitude towards change, the junior baby boomers will surely enjoy working with the younger staff members and together they will help to make a brighter future for the company.
The era where people easily live up to the age of 100 is now here, so if I were to compare the lifespan to a marathon, the age of 50 is still at the halfway point. I now have high expectations for staff members in their 40’s who are closer to reaching their 50’s.
