Ideal for Gaming and Telework! Headsets

Today, I would like to talk about headsets, essential equipment for various situations like online gaming, working from home, and online streaming.
While the word “headset” is broad, different models are suited for different uses, so it’s important to choose one that fits your needs.
With so many models from various manufacturers on the market, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and not know which one to buy.

So, this time, I will introduce some headsets that I recommend categorized by their intended use and are also handled by Sound House. I’ll also explain how to choose the right one, so please find the perfect head set for yourself!

audio technica / ATH-GDL3 BK Open-back gaming headset

Audio-Technica, a globally renowned brand, released this gaming headset on October 22, 2021.
The modern design is easy to use for both men and women, which is characteristic of Audio-Technica.
It’s a high-spec headset that performs well in almost any situation, including gaming, music listening, movies, calls, and telework.

The biggest feature of this headset is that it is open-back!
Advantages of open-back design include:

• Less fatigue during long use
• Very lightweight (reduces strain on neck and shoulders)
• Wide and accurate sound imaging (for example, in games, it’s easier to tell where footsteps are coming from)

Additionally, the headpad that touches the top of your head can be easily removed and washed, making maintenance simple.

Additionally, the left housing features switches for volume control and microphone mute, allowing for intuitive and quick operation.

If I had to point out one downside, it would be sound leakage.
But since it’s an open-back design, this is unavoidable.
If you’re using it only in a private space like your home, it shouldn’t be a problem at all!

Another Audio-Technica product:
This is a new model scheduled for release on November 19, 2021.

This in-ear headset supports both USB Type-A and USB Type-C, making it very compact and convenient to carry around.
It can be used simply by plugging it in, without the need to install any software, so even those who aren’t comfortable with technology can use it easily!

Despite its compact size, it offers excellent functionality.
The bidirectional electret condenser microphone uses proximity effect noise cancellation, and the inline controller allows for simple operation, which is perfect for telework and similar situations.

ADV. / R32 Monitor Headphones ADVR32-BLK

This is the latest model of monitor headphones from ADV, a brand known for its high performance, low cost audio gear.
The black and silver color scheme is stylish!

• Includes two cables: a 4-meter spring cable and a 1.8-meter headset cable

These premium features make it a standout option. It's still quite rare to find a headset that supports high-res audio.

CLASSIC PRO / CPH700BK High-Quality Portable Headset with Microphone, 4-pole 3.5mm

This headset boasts an outstanding price at around 1,000 yen.
If you're using it for telework or online classes, it delivers sound quality that’s more than sufficient.

Despite its low price, it even includes a volume controller, so it covers the basic features you’d expect.
Above all, the low cost makes it a worry-free choice — that's the key point here!
It would be great if a USB version were available too...
