  Ozzy Osbourne, the “King of Heavy Metal” and longtime leader of the hard rock/heavy metal world, has passed away at the age of 76. In 1968, he formed Earth with Tony Iommi and others, which later changed its name to BLACK SABBATH. The band's first album, “Black Sabbath” (1970), with its fear-inducing riffs, dark worldview, and hauntingly designed album cover, created a unique worldview and laid the foundation for the worldview found in many of their later heavy metal works, including the release date set for Friday the 13th. It is known as a work of art. The second album, “Paranoid,” produced a single hit, and a string of hits followed. After going solo, he became overwhelmingly popular, earning gold/platinum discs for his numerous albums throughout the 2000s, including “Blizzard of Ozz”with Randy Rhoads . And on July 5, 2025, a metal festival centered on a reunion live performance by the original members of BLACK SABBATH, which fans have been waiting for, will be held. The members and many other artists have expressed their condolences at the news of his passing, having just sung his unique voice after his battle with illness.
