Ryo Konishi Profile:
Born in Tokyo on July 25, 1988.
Composer, arranger, saxophonist, flutist, clarinetist, synthesizer player, and vocoder specialist.
He graduated as a top student from Berklee College of Music after studying at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music with the Maeda Memorial International Scholarship. Ryo Konishi is the founder of the expression group "Shominsha" and the leader of the band "CRCK/LCKS." He co-leads the big band project "Com⇆Positions" with Miho Hazama.
As a composer and arranger, Konishi is known for his borderless and alternative approach, blending genres like pop, jazz, classical, and funk. He is highly regarded for his creativity across a wide range of styles. His notable works include composing the music for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Opening Ceremony, the TBS TV logo sound, the film "The Fable," and the soundtracks for Netflix's "The Sound of Your Heart" and Amazon Prime's "More Than Words." He has also produced music for artists such as Chara+YUKI, Kaho Nakamura, milet, Mrs. GREEN APPLE, TOMOO, Kayoko Yoshizawa, Hakushi Hasegawa, and King & Prince.
As a multi-instrumentalist, Konishi has performed with artists like Chara and Daiki Tsuneta's MILLENNIUM PARADE. He is highly sought after for live performances and has appeared at major festivals, including NHK's Kohaku Uta Gassen, FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL, and SUMMER SONIC, both domestically and internationally.
