  We've started handling Seiza chairs for seated playing. These allow you to maintain the correct posture when playing the shamisen, koto, shakuhachi, and so on in a seated position, while reducing the burden on your feet and waist. Two types are available: a "folding type" at a reasonable price and a height adjustable "three-stage type". Because they reduce foot pain and numbness, they are recommended not only for practicing musical instruments, but also when sitting seiza for a long time in Memorial services.

• ROLAND announces the TAIKO-1 electronic taiko!!

  ROLAND has announced the TAIKO-1 electronic taiko.
  It is a new musical instrument in an unlikely genre, with a unique, novel look!
  The TAIKO-1 can play a wide variety of drum sounds, including long drums, taiko drums, and taiga drums, and can be used in a wide variety of ways depending limited only by your imagination. This is one model release that will be anxiously awaited!

• Kameya Hougakki / Sheet music stands for seated playing now available!

  We've started handling sheet music stands for seated playing. You can use it for shamisen, koto, shakuhachi, etc. The lineup of three types includes a reasonable price plastic model, a paulownia wood model with carved feet, and a luxurious model with a baked paulownia finish. It is easy to assemble and can be easily carried to practice and concerts. Because of its compact design, it can be used in ensembles where space is limited.

  We've started handling shamisen stands. The compact, three-legged stand is compatible with the Nagauta / Minyou shamisen. The four-legged stand is stable with more depth, and is recommended for the larges Tsugaru shamisen. Both can be folded, making them compact and easy to carry. They are recommended for use between practice or rehearsal sessions.

• Karin Nagauta Shamisen is now available!

  We've started handling Nagauta shamisen used in Nagauta (Japanese classical music). The main body is made of Karin wood (African Red Oak), and the skin is dog skin (kenpi). The lineup includes three types: "middle", which is reasonably priced and ideal for beginners, and "top" and "special" models, which use the highest-grade of Karin wood available. We also have an accessory set that includes everything you need to take up playing shamisen, including a soft case, bachi (pick for shamisen), tuner, instruction book, and so on. Karin shamisen are recommended for those who are considering taking up the instrument.

  天然の巻貝を使用した吹奏楽器「ほら貝」の取扱いを開始しました。ほら貝は、映画やドラマの合戦シーンや山伏が吹いているイメージが強いですが、お祭りや和楽器の合奏にも使われます。サイズは大と特大の2種類をご用意。貝には吹き口が取り付けられ、楽器としてしっかり音が出るように加工されているため、初心者でも安心して始められます。お祭りなどのイベント、珍しい楽器に触れてみたい方におすすめです。

  祭囃子や阿波踊りなどで使われる打楽器「摺り鉦(すりがね)」の取扱いを開始しました。4.0号、4.5号、5.5号の3種類をラインアップ。4.0号はコンパクトで軽いため、お子様や女性にもおすすめです。チャンチキとも呼ばれ、華やかなお祭りには欠かせない存在の定番楽器。シンプルな構造ながら、リズムの取り方や音の強弱によって、表情豊かな心地よい音色を奏でます。摺り鉦を打ち鳴らすための撞木(シュモク)は、樹脂製と本鹿製をご用意していますので、合わせてご検討ください。
