  The GS-104 desoldering tool is useful in a variety of situations, including board repair, electronic circuit assembly, and wiring modification for guitars and effects. The self-cleaning shaft construction, with the nozzle extending from the shaft when set, ensures efficient operation at all times.   The CP-2515 (wire width: 2.5 mm) and CP-3015 (wire width: 3.0 mm) desoldering wires apply special flux to copper wire. Heating with a soldering iron instantly sucks up the melted solder and ensures that excess solder is removed.
  It is ideal for removing old solder from circuit boards, pots, and jacks, as well as for replacing pickups. Additionally, it is useful for removing solder from delicate areas, such as surface-mounted components (SMD) and around multi-pin ICs, which are difficult to remove with a desoldering tool.
