Gaming chairs can be called an essential item for gamers, but they might be a product that Sound House users are not very familiar with.

When you hear the term “gaming chair”, many people may imagine a flashy design that looks like it’s for a race car.
For example, the standard model “PGC15RD” looks like this.

Recently, there has been an increase in models with simpler designs that blend well into offices and homes, making it an era where you can choose a chair according to your purpose and preference.

So this time, I will introduce the new model gaming chair “PGC40” that will be released in November 2025.
This chair is recommended not only for gamers but also for telework and creative work. From assembling it to how it feels while working, I’ll be covering it all in detail!

PLAYTECH’s new model the PGC40 is a gaming chair that combines both comfort and design.
It comes in four calm color variations, making it a great choice that can also be used comfortably as an office chair without feeling out of place.

Product Features

1. Comfortable Cotton Material

When it comes to traditional gaming chairs, most models such as the PLAYTECH/PGC15 feature the classic race car seat style that comes in PU leather. However, there has been a drawback: on hot summer days or during long hours of focused sitting, your back and thighs can become sweaty and sticky.
The PGC40 solves this problem by adopting a cotton material which provides excellent breathability and a pleasant texture. The black version uses polyester material, giving it a smooth and dry feel.

2. Reclining Function up to 180 Degrees

A reclining function is an essential feature for gaming and office chairs, providing great comfort for short breaks during work or creative sessions.
The PGC40 supports a full recline of up to 180 degrees. When combined with the included footrest, you can relax as if you were lying on a bed. However, be careful not to lose your balance when reclining fully!

Another convenient feature is the reclining lever located on the right side. It allows for smooth, intuitive angle adjustment without fumbling around.

3. 2D Armrests Adjustable to Match Your Desk

Have you ever found the perfect chair design, only to realize your desk is too low for it to actually fit? The 2D armrests on the PGC40 solve that problem. You can adjust the armrest position to match surrounding furniture or equipment, making it adaptable to any environment.
The PGC40’s armrests can be adjusted to three height levels — approximately 59 cm / 63 cm / 67 cm. Perfect not only for PC work, but also for tasks involving arm movement, such as playing the guitar.

Assembly Instructions

① Turn the base upside down and firmly insert the casters.

② Set the height adjustment cylinder and cover onto the base.

③ Turn the seat upside down, remove the pre-installed screws, attach the tilt mechanism and armrests, then return the screws to their original positions and tighten securely.

④ Remove the pre-installed screws, attach the footrest rails, insert the footrest, and attach the rubber ring.

⑤ Remove the screws attached to the backrest, insert the backrest into the seat cushion, align the holes, and fasten securely with screws.

⑥ After confirming that the backrest is in the correct position, use the side cover screws to secure the side covers on both sides of the chair.

⑦ Attach the headrest and lumbar cushion.

⑧ Combine the chair body with the base, and you’re done!

So, how was it? The PGC40 is a chair that overturns the typical image of gaming chairs with its subdued design, while offering the comfort expected of a high-end model. Even for those who aren’t fond of flashy gaming chairs, I highly recommend this chair!
