Where Can You Pitch a Tent (Without Camping Overnight)?

Once you buy a tent, you naturally want to try setting it up right away!
...But wait, where can you even pitch a tent?
“You’re not planning to stay overnight, so going all the way to a campsite feels like overkill...
Maybe you could set it up on your usual riverbank?
There’s that park by the beach with the free BBQ area…Would that be okay?”
(…You're only thinking about this after buying it? LOL)

Starting to feel unsure, I did a quick online search and found areas like:

• Riverbanks / riverbeds
• Beaches / sandy shores
• National forests / along forest roads

…are commonly considered suitable for wild camping.

However! Even in those areas, local ordinances may prohibit it, so it’s important to check in advance. I immediately contacted the office managing the seaside park I had in mind to find out.

Tried pitching the tent!

So without further ado… ta-daa!

I followed the instructions and found it was easier than I expected!
The compact size makes it feel like a secret base. It’s so exciting♪

Since I had the chance, I even tried doing a bit of cooking (^-^)
I pre-cut some leftover veggies from the fridge at home, then I just popped them into the mess tin with some consommé and water!

While my pot-au-fe was simmering, I swayed in my hammock chair, gazing out at the sky and sea while swaying and swaying… this is the best!!
