The other day, I took a detour from my usual walking route and casually walked up to an observation deck on top of a mountain.
By chance, I encountered cherry blossoms in full bloom!

The local cherry blossom spots hadn’t even started to bud yet, so it was completely off my radar.
It was such a pleasant surprise to stumble upon such a beautiful scene, and I felt like I had really hit the jackpot!

When it comes to "cherry blossoms," there are early bloomers like Kawazu-zakura, as well as the iconic Somei Yoshino and Yaezakura, so they actually can be enjoyed for quite a long time. I’m not an expert on flowers, but when I see this pink scenery, I can’t help but feel excited, thinking, "The best season for camping is here!" (laughs).

That’s right! Since I’m here, let’s make the most of it and enjoy outdoor activities with cherry blossoms as the theme!

When it comes to "cherry blossom viewing," you might imagine a large group of people staking out spots… but for someone like me, who’s gotten into solo activities, a simple "cherry blossom walk" without any preparation is the best.
