Playtech offers a diverse lineup of cymbals ranging from entry-level models with a good value for money to higher-grade cymbals made from B20 bronze. The selection includes not only splash and china cymbals, but also a variety of effect cymbals with holes.
This is my second review of playing and sharing my impressions of Playtech’s wide range of cymbals that are in this category!
Following my previous review of the china cymbals, this time I’ll be reviewing the crash cymbals.
All of the crash cymbals are displayed in our showroom, so please use this as a reference when making a purchase decision.
(As of June 2024, these are the models on display.)

Playtech / PCA16CR Crash 16"
The hammering pattern becomes wider towards the outer edge, and the finish changes part way through. When struck normally, it delivers a dark, heavy sound with a long sustain. Striking more aggressively, however, produces a brighter sound. Its ability to offer a range of expressions based on how you play it makes this cymbal quite versatile and useful.

Playtech / PCC16CR Crash 16"
The bow of this cymbal features hammering on the inner section and raising on the outer edge.
When struck, it initially delivers a somewhat powerful yet bright and clear sound that’s characterized by a whoosh sound. Even when played softly, it produces a well-defined, resonant tone. This cymbal allows for a variety of expressions based on stick technique. Additionally, the PCC16CR is priced at 6,980 yen (tax included), making it an excellent value for the price!
Playtech / PCM16CR Crash 16"
This cymbal uses brass to achieve a bright sound. When struck, it produces a distinct kaaaaan effect! It maintains a consistent tone regardless of how it is played, even at lower volumes. The sustain is long, and its unique sound makes it stand out among other crash cymbals. It could also be useful as an effective cymbal. Additionally, while the other cymbals in this series are priced under 10,000 yen, the PCM16CR is remarkably inexpensive at just 1,980 yen (tax included), making it the most budget-friendly option among those I’ve reviewed.
This time, I reviewed a total of six Playtech crash cymbals!
The Playtech crash cymbals offer a variety of features, and I highly recommend many of them.
