This time, I would like to introduce cool songs whose keyboard parts are a little more difficult, while focusing on anime songs. I will also introduce videos, and so on, that I recommended!
1、Sakura High School Rock Band Club / GO!GO!MANIAC
The first song is “K-ON!” It's an up-tempo song, so it's difficult keep up more-so than the phrase itself being difficult. It is characterized by a slightly distorted organ sound, and it may take a while to find the perfect sound. I’d also like to show you the videos of me trying to play personally, so please take a look.
2、Supercell / A story you don't know
This song is famous as the ending theme for Bakemonogatari. The song has a beautiful piano part, and nagi's transparent vocals are also quite attractive. Personally, this is my favorite animation song...! If you play the piano, you will probably want to try covering it. It's also a great song for live performances. I found a video of people who covered the song, so please check it out!
3、CHiCO with HoneyWorks / Love scenario
This is a song by HoneyWorks, a famous creator unit even in the videos using Vocaloid. All of the parts are difficult, not only the keyboard. The keyboard part contains both piano and synth, so it may be better for two people when playing in a band. Here's a video of HoneyWorks's keyboard designer, cake, who played a cool version of it. Please use this as a reference when you take on the song.
4、White Flame feat Hatsune Miku / Senbonzakura
Speaking of Vocaloid songs, this is "Senbonzakura"! This is a very famous song to say the least. It was also used as a commercial song. Senbonzakura is up-tempo and the phrases are quite difficult. Since the parts are divided into organ and piano, it may be nice to have two players when covering it in a band. Here are a few people who only played the keyboard part, and personally I would like to introduce the best piano cover songs by Marashii. This is cool, so please listen♪
5、ClariS / Connect
This song was used as the opening theme for the anime "Puella Magi Madoka Magica". Strings are dominant. The difficulty level is a little lower than the other songs I introduced. I couldn't find a keyboard-only cover here, but please check this video out because there is also a coolly arranged video by Marashii-san!
Recommended equipment introduction
Lastly, I’d like to introduce keyboards that I recommend for band performances, and so on, by application.
1、If you want to play the piano as the main instrument:
It has 88 keys, and I recommend a stage piano with a main piano sound source, rather than a synthesizer with many tones.
① Low cost and easy to carry piano
■ ROLAND / GO:PIANO88
Although it has 88 keyboards, it weighs in at only 7kg making it quite lightweight. GO:PIANO is recommended for those who want a keyboard to practice at home more-so than for the stage. 。
② A high-grade stage piano suitable for live performances
■ NORD / Nord Piano 4
Nord is coveted by keyboardists around the world. The quality of the sound is high, and both the player and the listener can enjoy the performance.
2、If you want to play with various tones
You don’t want to play the piano part exactly like the original? In that case, I think that 61 or 76 keys will be enough. Those who want to play the piano occasionally may find it 76 keys to be just right.
① High quality synth sound source at low cost
■ ROLAND / FA-07
I was particularly impressed with the quality of the string and synth tones. With the color LCD screen and excellent operability, you can easily create a variety of sounds.
② 1 Professional road synthesizer NORD ELECTRO
■ NORD / NORD ELECTRO 6D
A keyboard that is well-known for being used by many artists. If you are a keyboardist, then you probably want to play it at least once! I know I want one! In particular, the quality of the organ sound source is high, and you’ll be able to play cool tunes without getting buried in the sound of other instruments in the band.
This time, I introduced anime songs recommended for advanced keyboard players and a simple selection method when considering an instrument. Next time I would like to introduce songs that I recommend by genre ♪ Why don't you try to find a song to challenge yourself with?
