The NEUMANN monitor speaker series with DSP is popular for its ability to make any room to have studio-class sound with a calibration function that utilizes the DSP installed in the main unit. The following is an overview of the series and the demo booth in the Sound House showroom where you can listen to the KH series, as well as the MA 1 measurement microphone for calibration.

4” Powered Monitor Speakers KH 80 DSP
Compact 2-way powered monitor speaker with a 4-inch woofer. The design, packed with proprietary technology, delivers bass reproduction capability that is unimaginable from the small enclosure. It is an innovative monitor speaker that makes people think that 4” is the best choice for home studios.
Powerful low-frequency reproduction even with a 4-inch woofer
Most home studio monitor speakers are 5“ models that are often used to ensure adequate low-frequency reproduction, but the KH 80 DSP boasts an amazing low-frequency reproduction capability despite its smaller 4” size, with a frequency response of 53Hz to 21kHz (+/-6dB), which is more than just a frequency response. The sound is supported by NEUMANN's unique computer-simulated design and technologies such as the long-throw bass driver and ELFF™.

Unique Design Produces Suitable Characteristics for Production
The benefits of NEUMANN's philosophy and meticulous calculations are not limited to low frequencies. The plastic enclosure has a complex shape that reflects the precision of the design, resulting in a unique directivity that is ideal for production. The unique directivity, which is wide in the horizontal direction and narrow in the vertical direction, widens the sweet spot in the production room and contributes to production that is not bound by the sweet spot. The narrow vertical direction also minimizes the effects of reflections from consoles, desks, and other surfaces.

Even More Performance with DSP Calibration
As the model name suggests, the KH 80 DSP is equipped with a Digital Signal Processor (DSP), which uses the processing power of the DSP to correct sound quality. Using the MA 1 measurement microphone (sold separately) and Automatic Monitor Alignment software for PC, room characteristics can be measured and corrected to create a well-calibrated sound similar to that of a recording studio. Since the correction is performed by the onboard DSP, there is no need to worry about the drawbacks of PC-based correction solutions.

Studio-Class Monitor Sound in a Home Studio NEUMANN KH 80 DSP Review
KH 750 DSP 10-inch subwoofer with DSP
The KH 750 DSP is a powered subwoofer with a 10-inch woofer that is the perfect match for the KH 80 DSP and other KH series monitor speakers that provides excellent low-frequency reproduction from 16Hz and supporting calibration using the onboard DSP. The KH 120 and other models without DSP can be calibrated by connecting via the KH 750 DSP.

<Heavy cabinet>
Rich Bass Sound with a Heavy Wooden Cabinet and Proprietary Technology
The solid wooden cabinet, H383 x W330 x D383mm, weighing 19.5kg, provides a solid and reliable bass reproduction from 16Hz, and is supported by high-density anti-vibration rubber. The KH 750 DSP is equipped with NEUMANN's proprietary technologies such as the long-throw bass driver and ELFF™.

Input/output and adjustment mechanisms adaptable to various systems
Although the subwoofer is optimized for NEUMANN speakers, it features flexible specifications that allow it to be used in combination with other speakers. It has analog balanced inputs and outputs as well as BNC digital inputs and outputs. The network function also has four modes, which allows for settings according to the application.

<Compatible with models without DSP>
Supports DSP calibration with MA 1
Like the KH 80 DSP, the KH 750 DSP is equipped with a DSP, so it supports calibration using the MA 1 measurement microphone. In addition, NEUMANN speakers that are not equipped with DSP, such as the KH 120, can be connected to the KH 750 DSP to use DSP calibration.

<KH 750 DSP Functional Description>
- Ultra-rigid wooden cabinet with high-density anti-vibration rubber
- Woofer with ELFF™/long-throw bass driver
- 2.0/ 0.1 bass management function
- 4 routing modes
- XLR analog input/output jacks
- Input/output level control/ 8-position phase control/ LCF
- 100-240V compatible power supply
- Ground lift function

NEUMANN KH 750 DSP and MA 1 to extend the bass reproduction capabilities of NEUMANN monitor speakers
MA 1 and Automatic Monitor Alignment
A key feature of the KH 80 DSP/KH 750 DSP is the ability to calibrate the characteristics to match the installation location using the on-board DSP. The dedicated microphone used for calibration is the MA 1 omni-directional condenser microphone. Its characteristics are managed by a serial number, which is entered into the dedicated software Automatic Monitor Alignment.
The KH 80 DSP or KH 750 DSP and MA 1 are also available as a set.

Monitor Alignment Kit3: 2 KH 80 DSPs / 1 KH 750 DSP and MA 1
KH 80 DSP / KH 750 DSP available for listening in the demo room
You can try out the KH 80 DSP, KH 750 DSP, and the KH 120 at the NEUMANN listening booth located in the Sound House showroom, where a PreSonus monitor controller is connected for easy volume adjustment and comparison listening.
It is a rare environment where one can listen to the KH 750 DSP subwoofer to its fullest, so I recommend experiencing the amazing sound quality for yourself.
