Sound House has high customer satisfaction thanks to its very fast shipping and the inclusion of a 3-year warranty, and despite offering such services, its prices tend to be lower compared to other online marketplaces.

Among them, original brand products like CLASSIC PRO and PLAYTECH are especially shocking in terms of price.

This time, I’ll introduce not only original brand products, but also items I have actually used and would recommend, as well as products that are likely cheapest at Sound House.

CLASSIC PRO / 900EP (pair, 2 pieces) Earpads for MDR-CD900ST/7506

Many people use SONY’s MDR-CD900ST and MDR-7506 as monitor headphones.
Depending on how often they’re used, the earpads usually start to peel off and deteriorate after about 1–2 years. Even though you can still use them in that condition, have you noticed black debris sticking to your face or falling to your feet?

Genuine replacement earpads cost about 2,200 yen per pair, but these compatible ones from Classic Pro are only 980 yen per pair.

Additionally, while each piece is a little over 100 yen more expensive, there are colors like blue and red that aren’t available in the genuine versions.
The author uses the MDR-7506, so they purchased the blue one to match.

CLASSIC PRO / CM5 Dynamic Microphone

This is a highly popular Classic Pro flagship product that can be purchased for around 1,000 yen.
It’s a cardioid dynamic microphone, featuring a design reminiscent of the SM58 and a clear sound quality.

Although the sound differs from the SM58, it’s more than sufficient for guide vocals. Normally, a 1,000-yen microphone wouldn’t be usable.

The biggest difference from the SM58 is handling noise, but this can be solved by using a stand.

If your condenser mic is always left out in your workspace, you could put it away properly and use the CM5 as an everyday guide for vocal recordings.

The CM5 also comes with a hard case.
Just the case alone makes it worth buying even at 1,000 yen, and it’s almost hard to believe Sound House makes a profit selling this product.

MIDDLE ATLANTIC / CLAW14 Wall-Mount Cable Holder

Although there aren’t many reviews, and it may not be a top-selling item on Sound House, I personally highly recommend it.

When you’re involved in music, cables just keep piling up.
You end up not using a lot of them, but you can’t just throw them away, so they keep accumulating.
Cables can also be surprisingly bulky.
For example, a 10-meter shield cable may rarely be used, but you feel uneasy not having it, so you can’t get rid of it.

However, with this cable holder, you can simply hang long cables from the wall.
No need for figure-eight winding, it doesn’t take up space, and you can instantly see where everything is—a truly excellent item!
It’s designed to hold both thick and thin cables, so you can even hang smartphone charging cables on it.

MIDDLE ATLANTIC is an American manufacturer, but the contact point and official website are managed by Sound House.
Some MIDDLE ATLANTIC products are sold on other online stores, but only Sound House appears to be the official importer, making it the most affordable option.

CLASSIC PRO / GIC050/BLACK

Many people are probably already using this, but it’s a shield cable from CLASSIC PRO.
I bought it because of the many positive reviews, but honestly, when purchasing it for the first time, I didn’t have high expectations for the quality—it’s just too cheap.

However, when I tried it, the quality was no different from a 5-meter cable I had that cost a little over 3,000 yen.
I even made a video for those who are curious. The comparison targets were CUSTOM AUDIO JAPAN and X Vive XV-U2.

Some online reviews mention that high frequencies can attenuate, but if that level of detail bothers you, it’s better to buy a 5-meter cable over 5,000 yen.

Guitarists, are you struggling with picks slipping?
Some people sweat a lot and find them slippery, while others are on the dry side and still have the same problem.

The author has a dry constitution and hardly sweats, so before playing guitar, the pick would slip constantly without hand cream.

However, when it comes to non-music-related products, you might think Soundhouse would be overpriced since it’s outside their specialty.
The author thought the same and checked, and on a certain online marketplace, this grill’s lowest price was 10,657 yen (as of September 2021).
At Sound House, it’s 7,980 yen (as of September 2021).
Since I had a barbecue planned, I immediately ordered it.

It’s mysterious why it can be priced so low even though it’s not an outlet or “imperfect” item.

Although I haven’t researched every product, in Soundhouse’s daily goods and household items category, there are many products like this grill sold at prices lower than major online marketplaces.
