The 1977 gives you the clarity of an ultra-clean preamp, the precision of a 3-band parametric equalizer, the silky texture of a soft-knee compressor, and three variable harmonic saturations that let you dial in the warmth you want.

Featuring mic, line, and instrument D.I., the Pristine preamp features 66dB of step gain for ultra-clean, transparent, accurate recordings, sweetening up dull audio, and perfecting guitar sounds, as well as switched impedance mic matching to bring out the best in any mic in your studio. Whether it's a high-end mic, a ribbon mic, or a boring mic, you can find that sweet spot.

■Precise Parametric Equaliser with Variable Bandwidth.
The 1977 includes a true ""parametric"" equalizer, inspired by analog equipment from the 1970s. Featuring a 3-band fully variable frequency control, +/-12dB cut and boost, and a mid-band fully variable bandwidth control, it's incredibly versatile for everything from subtle tweaks to tonal sculpting problematic recordings, and everything in between.

■Switch the Order
Engineers can control the order of signal paths that operate as gain-equalizer-compressor-output or gain-compressor-equalizer-output, each producing distinctly different tones and tones.

■Silky Smooth vintage Compression.
Our trademark 'Big' and 'Air' modes help preserve the very deep bass that lesser compressors remove, and emphasize the shimmering highs.

■Clean, Warm or Overdriven with totally controllable Saturation
The compressor section also features variable harmonic saturation with three styles to choose from, allowing you to warm up your recordings with complete precision.

■Get the correct level first time
The output section features a wet/dry mix for parallel processing, and easy one-knob control of EQ, compression, and saturation usage. An output fade control lets you add a fade out or boost the level to match the audio input level of high-end audio interfaces, and there's also a large backlit VU meter for precise monitoring. And finally, there's a preamp direct switch that completely bypasses EQ, compressor, and saturation for an ultra-clean mic output.
