Pristine & Versatile Pre-Amplifier ■Precise Parametric Equaliser with Variable Bandwidth

The 1977 incorporates a true ""parametric"" equalizer, inspired by analog equipment from the 1970s. With 3 fully variable frequency controls, +/-12dB cut and boost, and a fully variable midband bandwidth control, it offers incredibly versatile adjustments, from subtle tweaks to tone sculpting problematic recordings, and of course, everything in between.


■Switch the Order

Engineers can control the order of the signal path, operating as Gain-Equalizer-Compressor-Output, or Gain-Compressor-Equalizer-Output, each producing distinctly different tonal characteristics and tones.

Our trademark ""Big"" and ""Air"" modes help preserve the very deep lows that smaller compressors often remove, while emphasizing sparkling highs.


■Clean, Warm, or Overdriven with Totally Controllable Saturation

The compressor section features variable harmonic saturation with three selectable styles, allowing you to perfectly and accurately warm up your recordings.

■Get the Correct Level First Time

The output section features a wet/dry mix for parallel processing, allowing you to easily set the amount of EQ, compression, and saturation used with a single knob. Output fade control allows you to add fade-outs or boost the level to match the audio input level of a high-end audio interface, and it's equipped with a large backlit VU meter for accurate monitoring. Finally, there's a preamp direct switch that completely bypasses the EQ, compressor, and saturation, providing an ultra-clean microphone output.

* A sidechain insert point on the rear panel allows for further control.
