The RME Fireface UCX is an audio interface born from cutting-edge technology. Its half-rack size body offers the performance required for professional audio applications, from studios to live recording. This professional model boasts 18 input/18 output audio channels, high-performance digitally controlled preamps, and cutting-edge AD/DA converters, all operating at 192 kHz.

Equipped with Hammerfall X-Core (USB 2.0 & FireWire 400)
Hammerfall X-Core, the culmination of RME's cutting-edge bus technology, features both USB 2.0 and FireWire 400 ports, providing low latency and stability equivalent to PCI interfaces in both Windows and Mac OS X environments. RME does not rely on third-party USB and FireWire technology, but instead uses its own proprietary technology optimized for audio transmission, ensuring outstanding performance and uncompromising professional quality.

TotalMix FX
TotalMix FX allows unlimited mixing and routing, enabling extremely flexible monitoring and system configuration. The input and output channels are equipped with a wealth of features comparable to those found in large digital consoles (including a 3-band EQ, variable low-cut, auto-level function, compressor, and expander). Furthermore, the microphone and instrument input channels feature an intelligent Auto Set function that automatically prevents overload. This inherits many of the unique features of the Fireface UFX, which has earned it worldwide acclaim.

Compatible with iPad - Class-Compliant Mode Included
The Fireface UCX is the first professional audio interface to support class compliance. This means that by connecting it to an Apple iPad/iPad2 (via the Camera Connection Kit), you can use the Fireface UCX's high-quality inputs and outputs on your iPad, allowing you to enjoy apps and music installed on your iPad with high-quality sound (even when using an iPad, it operates in asynchronous mode thanks to RME's renowned Steady Clock).
Other features include best-in-class digital control and microphone preamps, and support for standalone operation, allowing use as a standalone AD/DA converter, making this a product that meets the demands of professionals.
