Hello everyone!
I hope you are enjoying your life with ukulele. Some of you might be having a hard time practising the ukulele. Maybe you wanted to play a song and started with the song you love, but it actually turned out to be a really tough song, or maybe you did succeed in tuning, but that was it. For people like you, I will introduce you to songs which I personally think are easy to play.
Before showing you my recommendations, I’m going to tell you a way to find an easy song. The secret is choosing the song which has lots of C major, A minor, F major. These are the chords which are used very often and are pressed with 1 or 2 fingers. If you remember these chores, you can immediately play more songs! (Please don’t say the easiest way is to search “beginner” or “easy” on Youtube or google…)
Finally! We are getting to the gist of this article! You can find chords and tutorials for each song on Youtube or Google. I won’t put the link for such, because the copyright issue is too complicated lol.
01. Rouge no Dengon / Yumi Arai (Now: Yumi Matsutoya)
I love playing Jiburi’s songs on ukulele! You can play easily with Capo (Capotasto). There’s only C major, A minor, F major, G major.

02. Ocean Eyes/ Billie Eilish
Did you know she plays the ukulele? She sometimes make a song with her ukulele and actually, she has a signature ukulele for herself!

03. Marigold/ Aimyon
Songs from Aimyon are beloved by many people. They can be said they are the bible for guitarists and ukulele players. I chose one of the most famous song this time!
04. Shape of You/ Ed Sheeran
Many of the songs from Ed Sheeran have simple chords transposed! The simple is the best indeed.
05. Cherry/ Spitz
There might be many chord shifts with this song, but it has a pleasant melody and suits really well with the ukulele's cute tone. It’s beloved by many generations, so if you are asked to “play something”, this could be your first choice. Maybe some of your friends would sing along with it;)
06. Kaze ni Naru/ Ayano Tsuji
When you think about the song to sing along with the ukulele, this could be the first thing that pops into your mind. For the very first tune to start with, it can be too hard, because there’s too many chords transposed for the very beginner. But it is the song you definitely want to try, when you like ukulele and Jiburi.
How was it? I’ve written many things, but I guess the best way is to search “the song you like/ easy” lol. The original song you want to play may be too hard, but someone on the internet might have already uploaded the easy version. We are living in a wonderful era, aren’t we? FYI, I’ve seen a Youtube channel which focuses on playing only with 3 or 4 chords, so maybe you can check that out too.
I hope you find this blog useful!
