The acoustic guitar is a simple but a very deep instrument with unlimited possibilities.
There are many instruments in the world, but I don’t think there are any other instruments that allow you to feel the vibrations of the instrument with your whole body.
The sound and appearance of each guitar varies greatly depending on the wood it is made from. I am sure that it is precisely this reason why you may want to find an acoustic guitar as your own unique partner!
This time, I would like to introduce some Lowden Guitars in which Sound House has started handling as a distributor.
What is Lowden Guitars?
Lowden Guitars is a guitar brand founded by Northern Irish luthier George Lowden. He began his self-taught guitar building career in the early 1970’s.
The history of Lowden Guitars goes back to when George Lowden built his own guitar by hand and the brand gained recognition for his guitars’ musicality and quality. His guitars attracted attention for their unique design and sound, and were favored by many guitar players and musicians.
In recent years, Ed Sheeran, a very popular singer-songwriter who is also popular in Japan, has played a major role in promoting Lowden Guitars.
He frequently uses Lowden guitars in his live performances and recordings and professes his love for the sound quality and comfortable playability of Lowden guitars. This includes signature models that are customized to fit his playing style and he also teamed up with Lowden Guitars to co-develop guitars for the Sheeran By Lowden brand.
Lowden Guitars have some unique body shapes, wood selections, creative bracing patterns, and other innovative approaches that have earned the company a reputation as an attractive instrument to musicians.
What are the features of Lowden Guitars?
The body shapes are all Lowden Guitars original shapes. They are characterized by a little cute and round shape. Each body size is categorized into the O, F, and S Series.
The O-shape series, the largest in the lineup, has an excellent bass sound and is suitable for backing up vocals.
The F-shape series, which is the middle size, has a good balance of both low and high notes and is very responsive to the player’s touch.
The 630mm S-shape, which is slightly smaller in scale, offers a clear and delicate sound due to its smaller size. The shape is designed for playability and a stress-free playing feel for both standing and seated players.
The neck and body joints are made by using a distinctive “dolphin profile” technique, which ensures that the sound balance and volume are not compromised to any great extent. This allows the guitar to produce the sound that the player wants to produce and the sound that he or she envisions.
Each guitar is completely handmade, and no two are alike. Carefully selected woods are gathered from all over the world and combined to create a sound and feel that is superb. This means that even if it is the same model guitar, it will be completely different from other guitars and unique to you.
What kind of sound do they produce?
Seeing is believing, so please take a look at our staff’s demo video performance.
You can really feel the quality of the sound even through the video. The staff member who performed the demo and the filming staff even praised how good the sound was!
