Four BA Drivers

While the SE535 was equipped with three balanced armature (BA) drivers, the SE846 takes it up a notch with four BA drivers—two for the low frequencies, one for the midrange, and one for the high frequencies. This configuration overcomes the BA driver’s traditional limitations in wide frequency range reproduction, while still delivering the high resolution and faithful sound reproduction BA drivers are known for. The addition of two BA drivers for the low frequencies results in a richer, fuller bass.

Unique Replaceable Nozzle Design

The SE846 features a detachable nozzle that allows users to change the sound signature. The 1st-generation SE846 offered three sound filters—Bright, Warm, and Balanced. The 2nd generation introduces a new filter, Extended, to the lineup.
