I have personally been interested in the Homemade Clear Beeswax by nekodamari.work since I read about it on Twitter, so I would like to review it!

The box is wrapped with a sleeve made of beautiful flower-patterned Japanese paper, the box itself is also nice to the touch and looks so cute with the cat paw, and you can already feel how good the product is going to be even before opening it!

Inside contains a tin can with a nice cat designed on the lid! Most guitar/bass oils and waxes are in plastic containers, so opening the wax in a well-made container like this is a good point for me from a storage standpoint. That’s all for the introduction, and now I’m going to try it!

First, remove the bass strings. Then, check the condition of the fretboard.

I have maintained it on a regular basis, but the fingerboard is already dry. I want to apply beeswax wax, but I’m going to clean the fingerboard first.

I’m not going to use the Homemade Clear Beeswax by nekodamari.work that I introduce this time just yet, but here is the BIGBENDS / FRETBOARD JUICE 1oz that I will use to clean the fingerboard! It does not have the unique smell of lemon oil and it’s very easy to use, so I recommend it for those who want to try an oil different from lemon or orange oil!

Use oil as usual to remove the dirt on the fingerboard. Clean the dirt off well and wipe oil thoroughly on the fingerboard using a cloth. Also, after removing the dirt with oil, wipe it dry thoroughly with a clean cloth so that there isn’t any dirt or oil leftover. Now I’m going to use the long-awaited nekodamari.work/Homemade Clear Beeswax!

Open the can, take the wax with a cloth and apply it to the fingerboard. The wax itself is relatively hard, giving the impression that it is similar to the leather wax.

I thought it might be sticky because it is a wax, so I tried it from a small amount, but it actually has a smooth feel and spreads well, so it was easy to apply. I think this is the easiest to use so far for fingerboards. It spreads well even with a small amount, so I used only half the amount I expected to apply on the entire fingerboard. I think this can of wax will last a long time.

After applying it, the fingerboard looks moist and glossy, it is also very smooth to the touch, and the moisturizing result is excellent. I guess it needs to be used not only once but several times regularly to let the fingerboard absorb the wax, and it will become even smoother.
This wax is not only a great guitar maintenance item for yourself, but it also is a perfect gift for guitar/bass players friends who will love the cute packaging and the high quality!
