Every drummer owns several pairs of drumsticks. The longer you play the drums, the more sticks will break, and the more money you will have to spend on drumsticks.
Until recently, I used to use maple sticks and had to buy new ones every time they broke.
This time I am going to introduce TECHRA drumsticks to drummers who are looking for long-lasting sticks.

All models of TECHRA drumsticks are made of carbon fiber and are up to 10 times more durable than wooden sticks.
Also, due to the characteristics of the carbon fiber material, the weight is almost even for every stick.
I think it is a very attractive factor for drummers who care about the difference in weight.
There are a lot more great reasons to use these drumsticks, so please check the special page (the page is in Japanese only) to learn more about TECHRA.

Now, I’m going to show the features of different models and a review of the comparison.
■ CARBON PRO Series
The CARBON PRO series is a standard model of TECHRA sticks, which is 3-4 times more durable than wooden sticks.
The center of gravity of the stick is designed to be closer to the tip, giving the impression that it was easy to control and the sound was stable.
Depending on how you hit it, the CARBON PRO series is suitable for all music genres.

■CARBON PRO SUPER GRIP Series
The CARBON PRO SUPER GRIP series is the model that uses rubber No-Slip Grip on the CARBON PRO series.
It is recommended for those who often drop their sticks due to sweaty hands.
It is designed based on the CARBON PRO series, so the CARBON PRO SUPER GRIP series is also suitable for any genre of music.

■ HAMMER OF THE GODS Series
The HAMMER OF THE GODS series is the heaviest model of all TECHRA drumsticks, boasting 6-7 times more durable than wooden sticks.
As you can imagine from the name and design, the HAMMER OF THE GODS series is suitable for intense music genres such as rock and metal.
It produces slightly lower range components than the CARBON PRO series.

■ XCARB Series
The XCARB series is the lightest model of TECHRA drumsticks but weight doesn’t detract from the strength since it’s 4-5 times more durable than wooden sticks.
It produces a light sound, so I think it goes well with jazz and bossa nova.
The XCARB series gives a pleasant sound to closed rim shots.

■ COLOSSUS Series
The COLOSSUS series is the most durable model of all the TECHRA drumsticks. It’s 9-10 times more durable than wooden sticks.
It has a brighter sound than the CARBON PRO series, and it brings out the high frequency components of the cymbal very well.
Like the XCARB series, the COLOSSUS series has a pleasant closed rim shot sound.

■E-RHYTHM Series
TThe E-RHYTHM series is the only model of TECHRA that uses a rubber tip that is suitable for electronic drums and training pads.
It is recommended when you want to play cymbals at a quieter level as well as when you practice on the rubber pads

Overall, the drumstick series of TECHRA have the center of gravity on the tips, and I had the impression that most of them were easy to produce cohesive sounds with the core.
There are various types of drumsticks; some sticks are good for producing high range and some sticks are good for low, so you can use different sticks properly for various situations. Likewise, TECHRA sticks are made of carbon fiber, so they produce different components of sounds from wooden sticks.
It may be a good idea to try TECHRA sticks when you are an intermediate or advanced drummer and want to pursue your own sound.
This time, I showed you TECHRA drumsticks and features of each series.
hope you’re interested in TECHRA and will find the durable sticks that suit you.
While I was writing this blog article, I asked a drummer I know to try TECHRA sticks and review them.
I will briefly introduce his band.

Actually, the drummer is my younger brother. I have to admit that he’s an amazing drummer with far better technique than I will ever have. Check out his performance where he demonstrates his technique while bringing out the sound of the band.
