旧モデルEON600シリーズは軽量、高音質でとても人気のあるスピーカーだったので、EON700シリーズには自然と期待が高まりました。
一番違いがわかりやすいのは背面にある入出力パネル部分ですね。カラー液晶ディスプレイが搭載されています。使い方が難しくなったと思う人もいるかもしれませんが、そんな心配はいりません。EON712も音量調整は各チャンネル、マスターのつまみで同じように簡単にできます。ただ、それ以上に高機能になっています。
いろいろある中で一番の推しポイントは「AFS（automatic feedback suppression）by dbx」です。DBXのAFSと言えばPA屋さんの救世主!!とりあえずラックに入れておけば一安心みたいな、そんな位置づけのあのプロセッサーが内蔵されているとは。マイクや楽器などをスピーカーの目の前でわざとハウリングさせてみたんですが、ハウリ音が出だしたところでストンと消えました。その後はその帯域ではハウリングが起きないんです。これはライブでプレイヤーが動き回ることによって、思いがけないハウリングが起きかけたときに重宝しますね。とにかく設定をONにしておきましょう。
　実はEON600シリーズはBluetooth音楽再生に対応していませんでした。EON700シリーズでは可能になったので、例えばマイク1本とBGMでイベント、レッスンをしたり、マイクとギターとBGMで弾き語りライブしたりと対応できる幅が広がっています。
　音質は感覚の話になるので、あくまで私個人の感想として参考にしてもらえればと思います。簡単に言うとズバリ、ワンランク上の音がします。音量的にもそうですが、情報量が増えたという表現がぴったりだと思います。EON600シリーズも手頃な価格ながらも非常に良い音がしていたのですが、EON700シリーズは全体的にレベルアップされているという印象です。中高域はすっきりとしていて、ベールが1枚取れたようなクリアさを感じました。低音も聴き比べれば、向上しているとはっきりわかる違いがあります。軽量で樹脂製のPAスピーカーが鳴らす低音というと、アタック音のあと、なんとなくボワッと広がっていってしまうイメージがありましたが、EON700シリーズは、ちょうどよいタイト感があり、体に響いてくるロー感を味わうことができました。
EON700シリーズはこんな人にお薦めです。
・各メーカーから出ているエントリークラスのパワードスピーカーを使い込んでいて、もっと良い音がするPAシステムを組みたい。
・ワンオペ現場もあり、PA卓から離れて客席やステージ上で鳴っている実際の音を聴きながらスマホで色々なコントロールをできるほうがいい。
・難しい操作をしなくても、簡単に良い音が出せるPAスピーカーが欲しい。
スピーカー選びに迷ってしまったら、とりあえずコレを選んでおけば間違いないと自信を持っておすすめできるスピーカーです。

小型軽量ハイパワーでお手頃価格

まず第一印象は音質がFLAT
時間的な制約があるPA現場で一番助かるのは音質がFLATである事
プリセットしておける機能は、現場に行く前に倉庫で設定できますのでさらに時間短縮のために助かります。iPadを使ってアプリでリモートコントロールできる機能も人手不足で困っている現状で助かる機能です。そして何よりも軽く積荷スペースの削減になり
小型軽量ハイパワーでお手頃価格な物を探していた自分にとってはとてもありがたい商品です。
