RME audio equipment is designed to record sound in perfect condition, with no additions or subtractions, so as not to spoil the originally intended sound. All analog outputs are due to the DC coupling design. It can send CV / Gate information to control hardware modular and software with low latency.

Versatile digital input / output
One TOSLINK format optical input / output is installed, and it can be used in S / PDIF or ADAT (SMUX compatible) format up to 192kHz. By connecting an ADAT converter to the optical terminal, you can expand the analog input / output of the Fireface UCX II. For example, it can be used as a 12-channel analog recording in combination with the ADAT-compatible RME mic preamp series, or as a live / studio multitrack application in combination with the ADI-8QS and ADI-8DS Mk III. is.

It also supports AES / EBU input / output and S / PDIF coaxial input / output via a breakout cable, and all formats can be used at the same time.
