Hey everyone, are you listening to music?
In today’s world, the internet allows us to enjoy our favorite songs anytime, anywhere, so I would like to recommend for everyone to start listening to music on vinyl records.
Now then, let me share with you two reasons why I recommend vinyl.
Sound That Only Exists on Vinyl
First, the number one reason.
This especially applies to records released before the 1980s and before CDs came along, but there are sounds you simply can’t hear on modern streaming services like Spotify or Apple Music.
What do I mean by that? Well, sometimes vinyl records include different versions of recordings compared to today’s digital sources, or even independently produced tracks by lesser-known musicians. These are pieces of music that were never preserved in digital format, making vinyl the only way to experience them.
Let me give you an example:
Even with the same song, there can be entirely different performances or mixes between the mono version and the stereo version.

In the early days of recording, mono sound sources where all the recorded audio were combined into a single channel were the standard.
Later stereo technology was developed, which split audio into two channels, left and right, to create a more three-dimensional listening experience, much like hearing a live performance.
Because of this, many recordings released before stereo became mainstream were meticulously crafted in mono. In fact, musicians sometimes used entirely different takes for the mono and stereo versions of a song. This means that the same song can sound like an entirely different piece depending on whether it's in mono or stereo.
Through vinyl, you just might discover a “new” song by your favorite artist that you've never heard before…
Stylish Interior Decor
The second reason is the usefulness of records as interior decor.
Unlike digital music or CDs, vinyl records are physically large, which makes them visually striking. This makes them perfect for displaying—whether framed like a painting or simply leaned up on a shelf, they can instantly enhance your space.

Imagine listening to your favorite music while admiring the album artwork—that’s the kind of elegant lifestyle vinyl can bring. In fact, some people today buy records just for the cover art, even if they don’t own a record player. This shows that the appeal of vinyl goes far beyond just listening to the music.
Are you thinking, “I would love to start collecting records, but I don’t even have a turntable!”?
No worries! At Sound House, we offer beginner-friendly turntables at affordable prices. Many of them connect easily to your existing speakers, headphones, or earbuds via Bluetooth, so you can enjoy vinyl even without a traditional setup.
