Reviewing PLAYTECH Cleaning Cloths

Today I’m going to introduce the PTC30 and the PTC50 cleaning cloths from Sound House’s own brand PLAYTECH, which boasts excellent quality for low prices.

The PTC30 Series, the Incarnation of Cost Effectiveness

We wanted to make an inexpensive cleaning cloth, but we also wanted to make it safe and reliable to use on musical instruments! Finally, we were able to bring this cleaning cloth into the market after trying out a number of samples.
The product was so well received that we have increased the lineup to three colors.

Have you ever thought that cleaning cloths get dirty easily, but you hesitate to wash them?
It’s usually dirty with oil, so you don’t want to wash it in the washing machine together with your clothes and it’s troublesome to wash it by hand.

The PTC50 Series, Premium Wipe Comfort

I’ve already mentioned that we had many samples to develop the PTC30 Series at a low cost.
Among those samples, we found a material that was particularly amazing. The PTC50 is what was developed from this sample.

PLAYTECH / PTC50 Cleaning Cloth Premium

The suede touch of this material feels moist and thick enough in your hand. I measured it with the caliper and the cloth was about 0.7-0.8mm thick (It seemed to depend on the part of the cloth I measured due to the nature of the material).

I compared the PTC50 with a standard guitar cloth from Morris.

The edges are untrimmed for both cleaning cloths.
The PTC30 Series uses an anti-fraying process.

Since the PTC50 uses a suede material, only one color is available, which looks like beige or light beige. This cloth removes dirt very well, so it’s a little sad that the dirt on the cloth is quite visible. However, the ease of use is so addictive at any rate.
