The parts that most affect the sound character of guitars and basses: the pickups.

In addition to standard brands such as EMG, FENDER, and DIMARZIO, I have introduced some high-profile brands such as BARTOLINI and AGUILAR. I will continue to introduce recommended electric bass pickup brands that are available at Sound House!
1.LINDY FRALIN
Needless to say, a proven handmade PU brand.
Have you ever visited the official brand website? Not only are the product introductions extensive, but you can also get useful information as they post various information about replacing parts and wiring in the blog posts. Despite the small number of employees, you can feel the pride and passion for their brand. If you read them, you’ll come to love Lindy more... I haven't read all of them yet because of the sheer volume. Please check them out when you have time! ↓

LINDY FRALIN / JB
60's Fender specs, super popular classic model. Hand-crafted bobbins with high-quality USA Alnico 5 magnets provide a clear, elegant sound. Recommended for those who are vintage-oriented but want sound clarity.
2.NORDSTRAND PICKUP
Although it is a relatively new brand established in 2005, it has created many innovative models rooted in solid technology inherited through tradition. In addition, there are some models equipped with the rare Alnico 3 magnet, which is also good for vintage-style sounds. It can be said that it is a remarkable brand with a sense of speed!
NORDSTRAND PICKUP / NORDENBOCKER
A model for Rickenbacker with a playful name.
One of the brand's innovative features is the angled pole pieces. This results in higher output and tone. This is a representative model that successfully incorporates the innovation of NORDSTRAND while inheriting the tradition.
3.RIO GRANDE
Based on the basic principle of "LOW-TECH / HIGH-TONE", a highly adaptable brand that provides pickups to suit your tastes, from vintage sound to powerful sound. The guitar PU seems to be more common, but they have a rich lineup for bass, from simple JB / PB type PU to PU that can be installed on basses with guitar-sized humbucker escutcheons.
RIO GRANDE / MUY GRANDE J SET
A JB model that achieves high output while suppressing distortion. With a wide vertical and horizontal range, you can enjoy a variety of sounds with a neck / bridge blend. Fortunately, there is a sound sample list on the manufacturer site ↓

4.SEYMOUR DUNCAN
A super classic guitar & bass PU brand! There are many products with an emphasis on vintage sound.
SEYMOUR DUNCAN / ANTIQUITY JAZZ BASS Neck
SEYMOUR DUNCAN / ANTIQUITY JAZZ BASS Bridge
There are many typical models including those equipped with huge pole pieces, but the ANTIQUITY (II) series is also a masterpiece. A special process called Dun-Aged processing that weakens the magnetic force of the magnet is carried out, and it seems that the magnet is not simply weak but reproduces the sound of an aged deteriorated magnet.
5.SONIC
A domestic brand, the founder is Yutaka Takeda, who was a official Fender repairman in the past. He is widely known as the author of famous books such as "Electric Guitar Mechanism" and "Guitar Magazine Maintenance Book". They make not only pickups but also pots and maintenance goods, and are also particular about detail and products are carefully manufactured.
SONIC / TJ-201 TURBO J-BASS 2 USA
This is an introduction to the pot, but this is a circuit set (passive type) for USA Jazz Bass with an inch-specs pot hole. By incorporating a turbo switch, it is possible to switch to a powerful sound with a core. It's simple, and if you have a USA Jazz Bass, it should be easy to install.
Strictly speaking, there are still more ... I think was able to introduce the main PU brands for electric bass that are available at Sound House.
System that can be installed on acoustic basses will be combined with other brands at the next opportunity! We plan to handle more and more brands, so please let us know if you have a request, even for brands not listed on this blog! See you next time!
