Easy to use! Enjoy staying at home with STAGE EVOLUTION par lights

I haven't gone out to any events for a while, as I haven't gotten out of the house. I haven't seen colorful stage lights these days, and I may not be able to do so for a while yet... So, an idea came to me. I figured I’ll bring the lights of the stage home where I am. In addition, I figured they could be used as lighting for producing fashionable video streaming. If you can create an atmosphere, like a simulated live event, in your home, you can enjoy staying at home more.

■ What kind of lighting to use

Live house lighting appears to be difficult to operate. It also seems to be expensive because it is for business use. That’s what I used to think, but I found an LED par light from STAGE EVOLUTION called the FX PAR4! It’s surprisingly cheap at only 7,000 yen! I had thought this kind of thing would be more expensive because of the image I had of lighting being "things used by professionals". But at this price, I would like to play with it at home. This time, this amateur actually tried out the par light while following the instructions to use it for home streaming and to enjoy a live-like atmosphere at home.

STAGE EVOLUTION / FX PAR4

○ LED par light + strobe

Looking at the specs, this product is a par light and strobe all in one. The par light is one of the keys to stage lighting, and the strobe, as you know, flashes. With this one light, you can enjoy the same lighting effects that amateurs used to only imagine.

○ Auto mode

I discovered Auto Mode just when I was thinking that I couldn't carry out any difficult operations. If you select Auto Mode, the lighting effect will change automatically all by itself. It's flashy!

○ Sound Active Mode

With this mode, the lighting effect changes in response to sounds. I actually shone it towards the wall. First, I switched to Sound Active Mode and a green light was projected.

And when I clapped my hands

It turned purple!

■ Conclusion

Even an amateur can easily operate lighting just by following the instructions (even if just switching modes). It's fun to play with it in Sound Active Mode while playing music at home. If the operation feels troublesome, and you just leave it in Auto Mode, it still may be fun to have one at home. Colorful lighting that I had thought could only be enjoyed in a live house. Actually, I realized that it’s not that difficult and I can enjoy full-scale lighting production at home.

■ The next step

This time I introduced a simple method of using a par light at home, but in fact, this FX PAR4 has even greater possibilities! Using a DMX controller, you can create complicated productions. Live houses and so on use this combination.
