Feature 1: Very light!

The case for mandolin doesn't tire me even after long hours of carrying on my back; in fact it makes me forget that I am carrying it at all. You might think "Why is it so light? Is functionality OK?" Don’t worry and please read on.

Feature 2: Easy to carry!

The main handle is thick and sturdy. It fits in your hand comfortably and you can carry the case without concern. And the belt-shaped handle on the back of the top is unexpectedly convenient. I recommend using this handle in places with many people like trains or when passing through narrow places. Holding the case horizontally will make it easier to bump into things & people, and you will have to worry about the safety of the instrument and the inconvenience to people around you. But holding it upright will solve these problems. This handle is also useful when lifting the case from its free standing state. You can lift it with one hand.

The cases for each instrument come with two adjustable length straps. The underside of the strap is made of soft non-slip rubber, which reduces the strain on the body and also prevents slipping off the shoulders. The softness of this strap is very comfortable. I think the reason I feel it is light on my back is not only the lightness of the material of the case but also the strap.

Feature 3: Technology to safely protect the instrument!

The zipper between the case body and the lid is "Aqua Guard," which has waterproof properties. The exterior polyester fabric is also water repellent. Anxiety and the inconvenience of carrying your instrument on rainy days are reduced! It is not completely waterproof, but when I actually use it, I feel the instrument is almost completely protected, as an umbrella will not protect the case from water.

In addition, it has a lock made by Swiss manufacturer, Amiet. Opening and closing the latch is smooth.

The material inside the body is Styrofoam (polystyrene). This material is also used as a heat insulator for houses. It has excellent heat resistant qualities and is moisture resistant as well as shock resistant. It protects musical instruments from sudden changes in temperature and humidity. The material contributes to the lightness of the case.

Feature 4: Storage space for Accessories!

Under the neck section, there is a small storage space just large enough to hold picks.

And I noticed that the width of the head section is perfect for storing extra strings! If you put spare strings in the case, you can easily change a string whenever one breaks.

In the case of my mandolin, there is a slight gap between the case and the mandolin, so I place bubble-wrap on the spare strings to fill the gap.

Feature 5: Abundant color variations!

For the mandolin, nine colors are available: black, blue, burgundy, brown, ivory, orange, steel blue, lattice green and lattice navy. Color variations have increased in the last few years. There are still few colors for mandola (black and blue) and mandoloncello (only black), but it would be nice if the color variations increased in the future.
