I'm nervous as this is my first post.
I am posting for the first time because Sound House, who I am always indebted to, is looking for music writers.
My name is Kazu and I'm in charge of writing and composing guitar parts for Kimonoyan.

As a result of thinking about what to do with the first post, I would like to propose one method for composing songs.
Write the lyrics first.
It has been almost 20 years since I started playing music. At first, I was devoted to the joy of writing and playing songs first, but at one point I realized.
“I have nothing to say”
No matter how good the melody, rhythm, and chords are, if you write lyrics from them, it's a word template.
There was a time when I was surprised at the fact that the image was something like "charity program", which is a summer tradition, and the lyrics were similar to those of pop idol songs even though they didn't look great.
* Of course, I have no intention of criticizing either, and I love singing at karaoke as much as listening!!
However, if you want to make your own music, you have lived a different life both physically and ideologically, so if you want to create your own unique music, put the instrument you have in your hand down and pick up a notepad and pen.
I would recommend writing lyrics while drinking coffee or having light meals at cafes, fast food restaurants, family restaurants, etc.

Why not at home? From my experience, I think that it would be better to have an expense (investment) in the production, and I think that "I ordered a cup of coffee = it cost me money, so I must write the lyrics of the verse". So I just write! Just thinking this will pulls me up by the bootstraps.
You can eat, and the Wi-Fi environment is also an advantage, making it easier to work and research at the cafe!
In addition, I think that it is easier to be stimulated by being able to observe humans in an environment outside.
I can really understand the desire to relax at home and think about the lyrics, and I think it's okay if you can concentrate in that way.
Another merit of writing lyrics outside is that you have an unexpected encounter.
This is not only the point of being human, but also the BGM of the shop you chose, and there are cases where you can hear the conversation of the customers who were seated around you, and from there, "I'm curious about this. I’ll have check it out!" It is possible that we will move on to production from that point.
Let me give you an example of my story when I went to a coffee shop and wrote the lyrics. There is a machine that roasts coffee beans in the shop, and the roasted beans are roasted right there in front of you. It was a specialty shop that served coffee.
When roasting coffee beans, the inside of the store is filled with smoke, but the aroma is so pleasant that I decided to write a song there!!!
There is also the advantage that it is easy to be stimulated by production activities because it is in an environment outside your territory.
As I was writing the lyrics, a couple of men and women came to the store and I heard their conversations during the meal.
Apparently, the women would be able to take their time saying that they would change jobs. This was also a miracle because I would later use the conversation I heard at that time in my lyrics (laugh)
She said, "How am I going to spend my time?"
Boyfriend, "How about doing something you’ve not done before?"
She said, "Yeah, I think I will."
When I heard this conversation, I trembled and felt like these two people were gods.
Because of the possibility of a miracle like this conversation, I would like everyone to go out and write lyrics!
I feel it's very precious to make a song by myself, and above all, I have no intention of denying this feeling.
However, if there is one big enemy to production, I think it's probably my own "boredom".
How do I get over that? I think that is also a struggle when creating music, so I would like to discover new things every day and utilize them in my music.
Another advantage of writing lyrics first is that there are no restrictions on melody, rhythm or chords.
The task of expressing what you want to say is to verbalize your thoughts, and it's easy to get tremendous pleasure from this. Whether the words are positive or negative, it's easy to solidify the image of a song just by putting it to a rhythm. It may seem fresh to those who always write the music first.
For the time being, I would like to end the first post around here.

Here is the work I made by listening to the conversation of a couple (laughs)
