Q-Clone is a hardware EQ modeling plug-in that saves the characteristics of hardware EQ within a session and allows you to insert as many as you want as long as your CPU capacity allows. Q-Clone is an innovative product that leverages proprietary technology to use your outboard hardware equalizer in an entirely new way. Capture the sound of your own equalizer and use it freely anywhere in your session. You can also adjust the sound of each track to your liking, just as if you had dozens of identical pieces of hardware. I have a vintage console EQ module and a rack-mounted high-end EQ. I can't give up on those hardware EQs, but it's impossible to have as many EQs as there are tracks. Honestly, it's also frustrating not being able to recall settings or readjust them during a mix. Q-Clone is Waves' answer to such voices from the production site.
