API 550A/550B is an analog modeling plug-in that recreates the legendary 550 EQ used in API consoles of yesteryear. We have received an official license from API, and reproduce API modules in plugins. It's absolutely guaranteed. A 3-band EQ 550A and a 4-band EQ 550B are included so that you can use them depending on your purpose. The 550A allows you to select 5 center frequencies for each band, and the 550B allows you to select 7 center frequencies for each band. Each has a switchable center frequency point, allowing for 12dB of boost/cut. Shelving and peak selection are available in the LF/HF band. Furthermore, the API 550A/550B's major feature, ""Propotional Q"", automatically narrows the Q width as the Gain is increased, achieving simple and effective control. The API 550A/550B provides the sweet analog sound that API is known for.
