SAMSON / MD2 Pro Stereo DI

The MD2 Pro is the top model in the series that supports stereo input and output. Like the mono design model, it also has a gain switch and SUM switch, making it the direct box that will meet the most needs.

Samson's MD2 Pro stereo passive direct box packs two premium direct boxes into one case. Rugged construction and two shielded transformers provide a high-quality signal solution for a variety of live sound and recording applications. The MD2 Pro is ideal for unbalanced stereo line/instrument level signal conversion from keyboards, electronic drum kits, acoustic/electric guitars, and more.

■Custom STLX transformer
The MD2 Pro has two functions: Samson's STLX Mu-Metal shielded transformer delivers an extended, flat frequency response with super-low distortion and excellent protection against hum and RF interference. The MD2 Pro's balanced output provides a clean signal that is less susceptible to noise than unbalanced transmissions, allowing for longer cable runs. The MD2 Pro also features a three-position 0dB/-10dB/-20dB attenuation switch for each input to switch between line and speaker level signals, as well as a stereo/mono SUM switch.

■Thru Jack
The MD2 Pro's Thru Jack allows you to take out the input signal and pass the signal to an amplifier or monitor without affecting the original audio. Depending on the application, it is suitable, especially when many musicians use in-ear monitors.

■Roadworthy Construction
Housed in a 14-gauge steel chassis, the MD2 Pro is designed to withstand the most demanding live touring use. Its rugged exterior protects all of the MD2 Pro's internal connections, switches and solder joints from impacts for high reliability.
