SAMSON / MD1 Passive DI

The MD1 is a very simple mono/passive direct box (DI). Its metal body and circuit design are resistant to harsh environments, providing reliable performance. It can be used for a wide range of purposes, including live performances and recording.

Samson's MD1 Mono Passive Direct Box combines high-quality sound with durable, rugged construction to provide high-quality signal connections for a variety of live sound and recording applications. With the MD1, you can get a clean, balanced signal from an unbalanced line or mic/instrument level signal.

■Custom STL Transformer
The MD1 features Samson's STL transformer, which provides an extended, flat frequency response with ultra-low distortion. The MD1's balanced output provides a clean signal that is less susceptible to noise than an unbalanced line, allowing for longer cable runs.

■Thru Terminal
The MD1's thru terminal allows you to take the input signal and pass it to an amplifier or monitor without affecting the original signal. Depending on the application, it is a good choice, especially when many musicians use in-ear monitors.

■Roadworthy Construction
Housed in a 14-gauge steel chassis, the MD1 is designed to withstand the most demanding live tour use. Its rugged exterior protects all of the MD1's internal connections, switches and solder joints from impacts.
