SAMSON / MD1 Passive DI

The MD1 is a very simple, mono/passive direct box (DI). Its metal body and circuit design, built to withstand harsh environments, ensure reliable performance. It can be used in a wide range of applications, including live performances and recording.

The Samson MD1 Mono Passive Direct Box combines high-quality sound with a robust, durable construction, providing high-quality signal connectivity for a variety of live sound and recording applications. The MD1 allows you to obtain a clean, balanced signal from unbalanced line or microphone/instrument level signals.

■ Custom STL Transformer

A key feature of the MD1 is Samson's STL transformer, which delivers ultra-low distortion and an extended, flat frequency response. The MD1's balanced output provides a cleaner signal that is less susceptible to noise than unbalanced lines, allowing for longer cable runs.

■ Through Terminal

The MD1's through terminal allows you to extract the input signal and pass it to an amplifier or monitor without affecting the original signal. This is particularly useful in applications where many musicians use in-ear monitors.

Housed in a 14-gauge steel chassis, the MD1 is designed to withstand the most demanding live tour conditions. Its robust exterior protects all internal connections, switches, and solder joints from impact.
