The MCD2 Pro is a passive stereo direct box (DI) that is useful for connecting unbalanced devices such as PCs, MP3 players, and DJ mixers to balanced devices.

Samson's MCD2 Pro stereo passive PC direct box is ideal for connecting unbalanced line level signals from laptops, CD/MP3 players and DJ mixers to pro audio balanced equipment. Durable, fault-tolerant construction and two Mu-metal shielded transformers provide a high-quality signal connection solution for a variety of live sound and recording applications.

■Custom STLX Transformer
MCD2 Pro has two functions: Samson's STLX Mu-Metal shielded transformer provides an extended, flat frequency response with ultra-low distortion and excellent protection against hum and RF interference. The MCD2 Pro's balanced output provides a clean signal that is less susceptible to noise than unbalanced lines, allowing for longer cable runs.

■Input Options
MCD2 Pro features dual 1/4"", RCA and stereo 1/8"" inputs to accommodate any line level equipment or consumer audio connection. A stereo/mono SUM switch allows users to accommodate a typical mono ""house"" PA system. Additionally, the 0dB/-12dB attenuation switch provides users with plenty of headroom to handle hotter inputs.

■Roadworthy Construction
Housed in a 14-gauge steel chassis, the MCD2 Pro is designed to withstand the most demanding live touring use. Its rugged exterior protects all of the MCD2 Pro's internal connections, switches and solder joints for quiet, reliable performance.
