The intuitive user interface optimized for touch panels provides a fast, fluid, and smooth operation experience. Designed with direct finger operation in mind, the screen not only offers a simple and fresh impression, but also achieves an intuitive operating system through a functionally well-thought-out layout. Operation is possible with a sense of directly touching the sound.

Whenever more precise adjustments are needed, such as fine-tuning the EQ, the TOUCH AND TURN knob next to the screen can be used. Furthermore, the four USER DEFINED knobs at the bottom of the screen can be pre-assigned to frequently used parameters such as compressor thresholds and EQ gains, allowing you to adjust the parameters of the selected channel at any time.

Similar to the CL series, the Overview screen and Selected Channel screen are provided as two basic screens. The Overview screen, which displays parameters for all eight channels and allows operation with a feel similar to an analog console, allows you to directly control GAIN, 1-knob EQ/1-knob COMP/GATE thresholds, effect send amount, pan, etc., using the TOUCH AND TURN knob. Touching the highlighted box again reveals the Selected Channel screen, which displays detailed parameters and information, allowing for more precise sound shaping.

The gain, which is the first adjustment made to the sound input to the console, is a crucial part that affects all subsequent settings and it is no exaggeration to say that it greatly influences the final sound quality. Yamaha has conducted further research to enable these basic tasks to be performed more accurately and quickly. The new GainFinder function allows users to optimize the system's gain level by adjusting the gain of each input signal. Users simply adjust the level meter so that the green indicator in the center stays lit for as long as possible. Of course, the regular level meter is also displayed, allowing for gain adjustment using conventional methods.

アマチュア向けとしてちょうど良い

良いところは、びっくりするくらい安いことです。
DANTEカードは必須だと思います。RIOと併用する以外にもDANTE VIAやDVSを入れたPCとIOパッチできるのは良いです。
USBオーディオインターフェイスとしても機能するので便利だと思います。
CLやQLの下の機種かと思いきや、使い勝手はかなり割り切られてしまっていて、大きな差を感じます。無駄な機能（HA合わせるウィザードみたいなのやEQプリセット）が目立つところに配置されてるのは邪魔でしかありませんが、お金がなくてどうしようもないような施設に設置する場合ならば、これが最初の選択肢かなと思える範疇でもあります。
タッチパネルやコントローラ類の反応がLS9よりもまだ遅いですが、価格を考えれば許容範囲の下限くらいではあります。iPadを使った方が操作性が良いので、もうちょっと頑張って欲しいとこですが。
致命的なのはマトリクスにGEQが無いこと。現場では普通はPAアウト類はマトリクスから送るもので、そこはスピーカーシステムのクセに影響されるGEQ設定となりがちだから、録音や楽屋送りだとか、そもそもエンジア自身がヘッドフォンで聞く音についてはそういうクセのあるトータルEQになる前の音の方がふさわしいわけで、LRバスはそのようにあって欲しいんですが、この卓はマトリクスにGEQが無いのでPAアウトはLRバスを使うしかありません。
ハイのキツイスピーカーに対して通常はMATRIXのEQで高音を下げたいのですが、この卓はLRでそれをするしかないのです。チャンネルtoマトリクスの機能もありませんので、この卓でマトリクスは誰も使わない無用の長物と化します。
STEREO AUXがあるからなんでもAUXでやってしまえば良いんですが、設計した人が現場をわかってないなあと言う感じでもったいないです。

TFシリーズのMATRIXはGEQが搭載されていない仕様となりますが、MATRIXを含むOUTPUTチャンネルすべてにPEQが装備されています。PEQで代用することは可能ですのでお試しいただければと思います。
