I think there are a lot of club and dance music lovers who have been staying home and I imagine that they are very stressed that they are forgoing events due to the extended state of emergency. For these people, Sound House is now offering the following giveaway campaign.

I’m also bummed that I don’t get to DJ in public these days, but the records I ordered have been arriving one after another. I play them at home anyway, but what I really want to do is play them in an environment that excites me more! So, I decided to make my room more comfortable and cool for DJing and studying computer music as this giveaway event goes on.
Let me first say that changing your setup shouldn’t be something that costs too much and you can do something inexpensive right away... Behold! Slipmats! I’m going to focus on these Glowtronics slipmats, which I introduced in a previous blog post.
■About Glowtronics

The brand boasts using world-class technology to print slipmats for record players, and produces high quality products that resist fading. These slipmats have received a lot of praise from DJs, labels, and record stores around the world.

■I actually bought one!!
Here’s the slipmat that I bought with my own money.

Glowtronics/Memory
This one caught my eye the most among all the various patterns. It has a cyberpunk feel and I think it’s the perfect design for people who like DJ equipment. I just put it on the turntable...

It’s actually good! It looks perfect with the Pioneer/EFX-500 effect unit, which has been discontinued! If only the turntable on the left were black... I think I’ll be shopping for more.
There’s also a glow-in-the-dark version of the “Memory” pattern, which I’m also interested in.

I turned on the lighting and it’s a vibe. The design is perfect for people who like house and techno. If you are a turntablist or a battle DJ who does scratching and beat juggling, you may be interested in how slippery the mat is. I thought that it felt pretty good to me, so if you prefer more slippage, you may want to use the slip sheet below.
